Weather Causes Power Outages In South Texas

Alice, Texas— A tropical weather system has caused at least 250 customers in the South Texas community of Alice, Texas to be in the dark Saturday evening.

Residents first reported the outage just after 6:30 p.m. Central Time on Saturday. As of 9:30, those customers say that they are still without power.

Most of the customers who are without power are in the Ranco Alegre are of Alice.

A spokesperson for AEP says that crews are on scene assessing the outage and hope to have services restored before midnight.

Alice, Texas is located about between Corpus Christi and Laredo.
