Legendary actor Burt Reynolds died of a heart attack Thursday morning at a hospital in Florida, according to multiple sources close to the actor.
Reynolds was taken to a hospital in Jupiter, Florida after going into cardiac arrest Thursday morning.
Reynolds had heart problems for years -- he underwent major heart surgery in February 2010.
Burt was a legend on the silver screen and on TV and was the star of classics such as "Smokey and the Bandit," "Boogie Nights" and "The Cannonball Run."
During his career, Reynolds often claimed to have been born in Waycross, Georgia, but in 2015, the actor confirmed that he was actually born in Lansing, Michigan.
Reynolds was 82.
